The Founders

Michael Kearns & Tana Nobles Kearns

We both were blessed to have wonderful, loving parents who instilled the moral values that have guided us through life.  They taught us by their example - faith, honesty, a strong work ethic, compassion for others, and a love of country (both James and Gilbert served in the Second World War) and family values.  They understood and emphasized the importance of having a solid education so we would attain the skills and knowledge to be self-sufficient and productive in life.

Over the years we have been fortunate to have worked with many strong leaders, have hired and trained many treasured employees and developed a company culture of positivity, integrity and excellence.  Over four decades, as a result of hard work and dedication, we built and operated several successful companies in which we’re still actively involved.

Both personally and through our companies, we have given back to our community through contributions to and sponsorships of charitable organizations.  Recalling how both of our parents were so family oriented, we discussed how we could best follow their example.  Our parents steadfastly aided and supported their children and grandchildren in any way possible.  Michael’s mother Theresa often said that “Charity Begins At Home”.  We decided to create a family-focused program whereby we could emphasize, as our parents did, the value of education.  The result is the formation of the Kearns – Nobles Education Trust

We expect this Trust to continue over generations to assist the descendants of our families to realize their educational pursuits.  To administer the program, we’re fortunate and blessed to have three excellent educators from our families who will act as the Board of Directors for the Trust.  Additionally, Michael’s brother, who has many successful business experiences and accomplishments, will serve as Trustee.  This multi-generational group will steer the Trust with professional and knowledgeable dedication to achieve its intended purpose.

We look forward to hearing about the successes achieved by the beneficiaries of the Trust.
